Welcome to Bits & Bytes 2.0, a site that helps entrepreneurs and small business owners—especially those without a technical background—use technology to improve their business.

My focus is providing weekly content in two main categories:

  1. Briefings – Combing through all of the important technology stories, products, books, trends, and other tidbits for you, so that you can spend your valuable time building your business. Focusing in particular on stories or analysis that may have slipped through the cracks.
  2. Tutorials – Sometimes it’s more helpful to get a detailed guide to a new product, service, or concept that can help your business.

Topics range across a number of fields, but are primarily:

  • Technology – New software and hardware products, Web services, important concepts & trends, and miscellaneous cool-hunting;
  • Business – Marketing & branding, entrepreneurship, finance, management, and general business history;
  • Silliness – The occasional mental health break is a crucial part of the workday! :)

This is actually the second iteration of a blog on these topics. The first Bits & Bytes ran for several years on the GoTech, Inc. Website, as the CEO’s blog (learn more). Adding the standard “2.0″ moniker for a new version feels especially appropriate since this site focuses on the world of Web 2.0.
